WOMEN’S MONTH CELEBRATION: LAUNCHING CEREMONY

 

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Calatrava successfully launched its Women’s Month Celebration, Emphasizing the theme of women’s empowerment across all sectors. The event featured the Oath-taking Ceremony of the Newly-Elected Local Council for Women Officers and Board of Directors, highlighting the LGU’s commitment to advancing women’s right and opportunities. The presence and support of key women leaders and legislators underscored the importance of creating a just and equitable society.

Hon. Marilyn A. Era, a prominent figure of women empowerment, administered the oath-taking ceremony for the newly-elected Local Council for Women Officers and Board of Directors. This signifies the formal establishment of a dedicated body to champion women’s causes within the LGU.

Hon. Juice G. Villamor, SB Chairperson Committee on Women and Family, and Hon. Kylie Anieva P. Isaias, Vice Chairperson, along with Marianne E. Lumanog, Secretary to the Sanggunian, demonstrated strong legislative support. Their messages emphasized a commitment to creating a just and equal society, and to developing channels that elevate the status of women.

The Caravan was participated by the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) Officers, Barangay Violence Against Women (BVAW) Desk Officers, the Local Council for Women Officers, MSWD staff, the Bakyas Community Development Center Inc. (BCDCI) and Empowerment Reaffirmation of Paternal abilities and Talents (ERPAT) Officers and Members.
